For the 36th season, the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra will bring you an odyssey of outstanding live performances. This season of “Tenors and Titans” is sure to please the classical music lover in all of us and furnish a season finale of epic proportions that you just can’t miss.
The BVSO season opener will showcase the newly crowned 2017 Cliburn Gold Medalist! We will be one of the very first orchestras to host world-class pianist Yekwon Sunwoo of South Korea, as he presents Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the BVSO. Join us for the pinnacle of piano performance with “Cliburn Gold” on October 22nd!
Highlighting the titans of classical music throughout the season, November’s “Major Masterpieces” will include Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (Eroica). In February, the BVSO will present Ravel’s Bolero and Stravinsky’s Petrushka, while March’s concert showcases the best of the Baroque era with J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos.
The April season finale will be a showstopping evening featuring favorite finalists from NBC’s America’s Got Talent. These chart-toppers are presenting world-wide sold out concerts and have collaborated with some of the most prestigious symphonies in the US. People are clearly enjoying their talent—they were recently named the #10 Classical Artist in the world by Billboard magazine . . . THE TEXAS TENORS performing live with the BVSO!
